Terms and Conditions

Carte and Compass LLC
Effective Date: July 1, 2025

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before booking travel services with Carte and Compass LLC (“Carte and Compass,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By booking services with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. Scope of Services

Carte and Compass LLC acts solely as an intermediary between you (“client,” “you,” or “your”) and travel service providers, including but not limited to airlines, hotels, cruise lines, tour operators, transportation companies, and other suppliers. We do not own, operate, or control the services provided by these third parties.

2. Reservations and Payments

  • A deposit may be required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
  • Final payment deadlines vary depending on the travel supplier and will be communicated at the time of booking.
  • Failure to make payments on time may result in cancellation of your reservation without refund.

3. Pricing and Price Changes

All prices are subject to availability and change without notice. Pricing may vary due to fluctuations in currency exchange rates, supplier-imposed increases, fuel surcharges, taxes, and other costs. You are responsible for any price increases imposed by suppliers.

4. Cancellations, Changes, and Refunds

  • Cancellation policies vary depending on each travel supplier. It is your responsibility to review and understand each supplier’s policies.
  • Carte and Compass LLC is not responsible for any fees incurred due to cancellations, changes, or no-shows.
  • Refunds, if any, are at the sole discretion of the travel supplier. We may charge a processing fee in addition to supplier fees.
  • No refunds will be issued for unused travel services.

5. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to protect your travel investment. Travel insurance can cover unexpected events such as trip cancellations, medical expenses, lost luggage, and travel delays. You acknowledge that declining travel insurance coverage may result in financial loss, for which you are solely responsible.

6. Travel Documents and Requirements

It is your responsibility to ensure you have valid travel documents, including passports, visas, vaccination records, and any other necessary documentation for your destination. Your passport has a minimum of 6 months validity from your return travel date.  Carte and Compass LLC is not responsible for denied boarding, entry, or travel due to inadequate documentation.

7. Risks and Responsibilities

Travel involves inherent risks, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, illness, accidents, and acts of terrorism. By booking with Carte and Compass LLC, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with travel and release us from any liability for such risks.

Carte and Compass is not responsible for:

  • Acts or omissions of third-party suppliers
  • Losses, injuries, or damages to person or property
  • Delays, cancellations, or changes caused by weather, pandemics, natural disasters, strikes, government actions, or other forces beyond our control

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Carte and Compass LLC shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of our services or travel booked through us, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. Health and Safety

You are responsible for ensuring that you are physically and medically fit for travel. Some destinations may pose special health risks; please consult your doctor and appropriate travel health resources for advice specific to your trip.

10. Participants with Disabilities

Participants with disabilities should notify Carte and Compass LLC if ADA accessible accommodations are needed. Carte and Compass LLC will make all reasonable efforts to accommodate this request but cannot be responsible if ADA accommodations are not available. Any accommodations provided will be at the sole expense of the guest requiring the accommodation.

10. Conduct

You are expected to conduct yourself respectfully and responsibly while traveling. Carte and Compass LLC and its suppliers reserve the right to remove any traveler whose behavior negatively affects the safety, well-being, or enjoyment of other travelers.

11. Force Majeure

Carte and Compass LLC is not responsible for any failure to perform its obligations if such failure is due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, labor disputes, weather, government orders, pandemics, or any other cause beyond our control.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed under the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Delaware.
